Frequently Asked Questions


General

What meals are included with registration?
Coffee and pastries will be available before courses beginning in the morning. Lunch will be served on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. If you have paid to attend that day of the event, lunch will be provided.

Will I be able to request special meals (i.e. kosher, vegetarian)?
Yes, you will be prompted for special meal requirements during the registration process.

Where can I find information about Sponsorship opportunities?

Can I bring my spouse or companion to the conference?
Due to the business focused atmosphere of the conference, we respectfully request that, as a conference attendee, you do not bring your spouse or any companion to the conference sessions. Your hotel concierge would be happy to provide information on local attractions and related visitor materials about the Orlando area. Thank you for your understanding.


Registration

Do you accept Purchase Orders?
If you would like to use a Purchase Order you may do so when registering online. If you have any questions about using a purchase order please contact our registration department at 1-541-346-3537.

Where may I obtain your federal tax ID information for my accounting department?
Please contact the registration office and they will fax or mail a completed W9 form to you. TechMentor's Federal Tax I.D. Number is 20-4583700

Where can I request a receipt?
You will receive an official receipt on your badge when you check in at the conference. However, if you need a receipt before arriving onsite, you may request one by writing or by calling the registration office at 1-541-346-3537. Receipts are processed weekly.

How may I make changes to my registration?
You may request changes to your registration by writing or by calling 1-541-346-3537 or by faxing your request to 1-541-346-3545.

How can I change the sessions I’ve signed up for?
You can re-access your registration and change your session selections by going to the registration link of the website and selecting the option "Re-Access your Registration." You will need your confirmation to re-access your registration and then alter your course selections. You may also change your course selections by calling 1-541-346-3537.

What if I need to cancel my registration?
All requests for cancellation must be sent in writing to the registration office. Requests must be received by the cancellation deadline to qualify for a refund. A cancellation-processing fee of $250 will be charged for each cancellation request.

If I cancel my conference registration will my hotel room be cancelled as well?
Only if you purchased the Complete Hotel and Conference Package. If you purchased a standard conference package that did not include hotel, please contact the hotel directly to cancel your room reservation.

Do you offer any student discounts?
We offer full-time college students from accredited universities a discount off of the full priced conference registration fees. To qualify for this discount, please contact the registration office at 1.541.346.3537 and be prepared to provide a copy of your student identification card.

May I send someone in my place if I cannot attend?
Yes, you may transfer your registration to another person at any time. Requests must be made in writing and may be emailed or faxed to 1-541-346-3545 or bring the request with you onsite.

Will I receive confirmation of my registration?
Yes, if you include your email address you will receive an email acknowledgement of your registration being received in the conference database.


Travel/Transportation

Airport Transportation
Disney’s Yacht Club Resort offers all registered guests transportation to and from the Orlando International Airport (MCO) on Disney’s Magical Express. After booking your hotel reservation, make sure to visit www.disneyconventionears.com/DME to book your complimentary airport transportation and baggage handling.

If you are not staying at Disney’s Yacht Club Resort and need transportation, we suggest using a shuttle or taxi service.

One way fare from MCO averages $55-$60.


Directions to Disney’s Yacht Club Resort:

Walt Disney World Resort is located southwest of Orlando, off Interstate 4, west of the Florida Turnpike. Routes from some major Florida starting points:

  • From Interstate 95, U.S. Highway 1 or southbound on the Florida Turnpike: take I-4 West to Walt Disney World Resort Exits
  • From southbound Interstate 75: take the Florida Turnpike South to Interstate 4 West to Walt Disney World Resort Exits
    From northbound on the Florida Turnpike: take Osceola Parkway which connects with U.S. Highway 192 and the Walt Disney World Resort
  • From the Daytona area: take I-4 West to Walt Disney World Resort Exits
  • From the Tampa area: take I-4 East to Walt Disney World Resort Exits
  • From Miami/Ft. Lauderdale: take the Florida Turnpike North to Osceola Parkway West (Exit 249) to Walt Disney World Resort Exits
  • From Northeast Florida: take I-95 South to I-4 West (Exit 260B, old 86) to Walt Disney World Resort Exits
  • From Northwest Florida: take I-75 South to Florida Turnpike South (Exit 328, old 65), to I-4 West (Exit 259) to Walt Disney World Resort Exits

Complimentary parking is available to all guests of Disney’s Yacht Club Resort.

What’s the best way to get to the conference from the airport?

Networking

Will there be opportunities for small group discussions?
A number of networking opportunities will be available for a change of pace to the conference format. We also encourage attendees to network in the morning over coffee.

How can I network with peers who have similar interests?
Be a part of pre-conference networking with paid attendees by checking the "Attendee Networking" box when you register. Prior to the conference you have an opportunity to introduce yourself to other attendees and arrange to meet for lunch, dinner or during other break times to meet and network.


Technical

Will there be computers with Internet access at the conference?
Yes, an email café area is available for all attendees.

Where do I get the notes for each conference session?
All conference attendees will receive access to TechMentor Orlando session proceedings in advance of the event. Conference registrants will also receive a proceedings CD-ROM on-site.

Pre- and post-conference workshop printed notes will be available to registered workshop attendees.

A full TechMentor Orlando proceedings book is available for purchase at the time of registration for $35, and contains all of the session slides contained in the conference CD with plenty of extra space for taking notes
