A few years ago, “BYOD” (Bring Your Own Device) was the strategy of choice. Today, many organizations have experienced the unintended consequences — sometimes jokingly referred to as “Bring Your Own Disaster.” Now the focus has shifted to Zero Trust.

But Zero Trust may be one of the most misunderstood terms in IT. The name itself sounds restrictive — as if users will lose flexibility or that everything will suddenly become harder, even on the internal network. In reality, Zero Trust is not about limiting productivity. It’s about enabling secure, seamless work from anywhere.

Zero Trust could just as well be called: “Work the same way, wherever you are.” It’s not a switch you flip — it’s a journey toward delivering consistent security and user experience, whether someone is at corporate headquarters or working from a coffee shop.

The era of implicit trust based on network location is over. Modern security must be built on verified identities — of users, devices, and workloads — not IP addresses.

Let’s design Zero Trust to be an enabler, not a disabler.

In this full-day workshop, world-renowned security expert Sami Laiho will explain what Zero Trust truly means and guide you through practical implementation strategies for organizations of all sizes.

You will learn:

  • How to authenticate and validate all communications
  • Why every network should be treated as untrusted
  • How to apply the Principle of Least Privilege effectively
  • How to implement Zero Trust in both small and large environments
