You are invited to attend this intense, two-day training workshop on PowerShell Scripting and Toolmaking. The goal of the course is to take your basic PowerShell scripting skills to the next level. It is assumed that you have previous PowerShell experience, including creating at least some basic scripts and functions. This course is for those of you who want to take your skills to the next level or discover what you can do with your existing projects to take them from awesome to amazing. Here is a sampling of topics we will explore:

  • Using Parameter Sets
  • Leveraging Parameter Validation

  • Using PowerShell Classes

This is not a hands-on training seminar. But you are welcome to bring a laptop and follow along. The emphasis will be on using Windows PowerShell 5.1, although we will look at the challenges of cross-platform scripting with PowerShell Core.

Jeffery Hicks

Jeffery Hicks is an IT veteran with almost 30 years of experience, much of it spent as an IT infrastructure consultant specializing in Microsoft server technologies with an emphasis in automation and efficiency. He is a multi-year recipient of the Microsoft MVP Award. He works today as an independent author, teacher and consultant. Jeff has taught and presented on PowerShell and the benefits of automation to IT Pros worldwide. He has authored and co-authored a number of books, writes for numerous online sites and print publications, is a contributing editor at Petri.com, a Pluralsight author, and a frequent speaker at technology conferences and user groups.
