Trying to understand the various deployment tools and options from Microsoft often requires a degree in acronyms. There’s the Windows Automated Installation Kit (AIK) and Windows Deployment Services (WDS). There’s a tool called ImageX, and another tool called the User State Migration Tool (USMT). There’s even the Microsoft Deployment Toolkit (MDT) which integrates all of these, and of course System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) which even further extends the capabilities the MDT. If you need help figuring out what combination of these tools will make your deployment smoother, this session is one you won’t want to miss. It’s the first in a series of six sessions where deployment experts Daniel Nerenberg and Justin Rodino translate a series of unlinked acronyms into an understandable story to simplify your next deployment. Start with this session and finish with the final one on automation and you’ll be on your way to a Zero-Touch Installation (ZTI) and deployment in no time.
