The Sysinternals utilities are vital tools for any computer professional on the Windows platform. Mark Russinovich's popular "Case Of The Unexplained" demonstrates some of their capabilities in advanced troubleshooting scenarios. This workshop session will focus primarily on the three most popular Sysinternals downloads: Process Explorer, Process Monitor, and Autoruns. We explore as many of the available features of these tools as time will allow. Expect to see some advanced analysis, integration with lesser known tools in Sysinternals, and interesting features that are little-know, but very useful in diagnosing Windows/application issues. Become a Sysinternals Ninja for your organization!

You will learn:

  • When to use and not to use Process Monitor, Process Explorer, and Autoruns
  • Discover features in the tool that most users are unaware exist in these must-have Sysinternals utilities
  • Effective "combination" usage of these tools, along with some lesser known Sysinternals tools
