Traditionally applications were deployed into a predefined set of networks, defined based on physical infrastructure and rigid security policies. Software Defined Networking changes that, providing the elasticity required for the cloud. It puts tenants in control of their own networks and network services and lets them be configured that meets the connectivity and security needs of each individual application. In this session, we will talk about how Windows Server provides a complete software–defined networking solution for any software defined datacenter, and how it makes up the underpinnings of Azure Stack. You'll get an introduction to setting it up, managing, monitoring SDN and using PowerShell for automation. The skills you learn here will give you a better understanding of software defined networking in any cloud deployment.
