Clouds. Everyone's talking clouds. Public cloud and private cloud and this cloud and that cloud...I'm sure there's a cumulonimbus in there somewhere. You've got your company's Active Directory purring like a kitten, and now here's this new "thing" you need to go prepare for. How do you do that? You want to take advantage of services like Exchange Online, Software-as-a-Service, all that good stuff, but what does it take to get there?

In this highly interactive session, come and learn from the Identity Management architects who made this happen for Microsoft IT itself, how we took our users from the premises all the way to cloud services...and sometimes back again. We'll focus on the core infrastructure technologies that you'll need to put in place to make your company "cloud ready" - authentication and directory services - and the lessons we learned by deploying these for a large, complex organization. Bring your questions, and bring some popcorn, 'cos we're going on a fun ride.

You will learn:

  • Clearly understand how cloud services like Office 365 interact with your existing infrastructure, and how you can extend that infrastructure to leverage Software-as-a-Service offerings
  • Understand real-world examples of how to deploy services like Active Directory Federation Services (ADFS) and directory synchronization, to take your users "to the cloud"
  • Be able to prepare your organization for the security and policy questions that come along for the ride as a part of any cloud adoption adventure
