Come and see how Windows OS MVP and STEP member Sami Laiho with more than 16 years of experience in advanced troubleshooting combines these new tools with industry proven techniques. Major changes to the startup sequence like the ones in Windows 8 haven't been seen since the introduction of Windows NT so there's a lot to learn. During this session you will learn to master the techniques to troubleshoot both Windows 7 and 8. Sami Laiho has been working with and teaching OS troubleshooting for over ten years and his session was voted best of 2012 among the Microsoft STEP performed sessions globally. You will learn:
  • How to debug errors from user mode to kernel mode errors
  • How to use built-in tools like Resource Monitor
  • How to use external tools like Windows Performance Toolkit and Sysinternals Suite
HANDS-ON LAB REQUIREMENTS: A Windows 7 or Windows 8 laptop (or VM) with at least 2GB of free disk space, WiFi connectivity and Administrative rights for the user account.
