Troubleshooting Windows print spooler crashes and hangs can be very challenging what with all the different types of printers and drivers available. This introductory session will provide an overview of the Print Spooler Service and how it communicates with printers. It will then explore the different methods of capturing a print spooler memory dump to identify which component is failing. Finally, the session will cover the installation and configuration of the Windows debugger, illustrating techniques used to analyze print spooler dumps and determine which component, driver, printer, and job is causing the failures.
