Dogfood and Upgrades and Clouds, oh my! Before you ever see a Microsoft product beta, a dedicated team of IT fanatics inside the Microsoft Millennium Building have been hard at work, sometimes for over a year. They deploy, test, and find new and interesting ways for beta software to fall down on its job. This process, which we lovingly call “dogfooding”, happens for nearly every major Microsoft product. Active Directory is always at the head of the (dog)pack. In this session, hear from actual Microsoft Architect Laura Hunter about how Microsoft’s internal IT manages testing and deploying new versions of Active Directory. You’ll hear her stories about the new features of Windows Server 2008 and R2, lessons that they learned along the way, and missteps you can avoid when doing your own deployments. Bring questions to this interactive and fun session!
