In this deep-dive three hour workshop, you'll get plenty of hands on experience as you practice newly acquired Windows performance monitoring skills. You'll learn about a variety of tools for accomplishing different types of monitoring, from interactive real time monitoring, to automated analysis of performance data collected in the background. You'll learn about the latest cutting edge tools from Microsoft such as the Windows Performance Toolkit and how it helps you to analyze low level kernel activity and device drivers. You'll also understand what remedies are available to resolve resource bottlenecks and unleash the full power of your systems. Bring your own laptop running Windows 7 or later to follow along with the lab sessions. You'll need at least 2GB of free disk space to install tools and stage lab materials. Power strips will be provided.
