So maybe your running vSphere and you find out someone snuck a Hyper-V cluster into your datacenter! Or maybe your a Xen Guru who feels all is right with the world as long as no other ‘vizors are around? How about being a KVM Kid and your company goes and buys a shop that is 100% vSphere? Well, times certainly are a changing!
Up until recently, many virtualization administrators (or vAdmin’s as I like to call them) were brought up primarily learning how to manage a single hypervisor. The role of the vAdmin is evolving into a very complex position that not only includes that they know some networking and storage fundamentals, but also how to manage more than one hypervisor in their datacenters. Now more than ever, the datacenter is being dictated by the software that runs in them, and depending on your environment, that probably means more than one hypervisor will be hosting all of it. vAdmins must now face that challenge head on to be successful, and now more are taking on that responsibility and becoming vAdmin Rockstars!
In this session, let’s take a look at where the vAdmin has been, where they are going, and how to get there. We’ll also take a look at some cool tools that are there for you to use on your journey, as well as some tips and tricks to help make you a success!
You will learn:
- How the future roles, responsibilities, and expectations of the vAdmin could shape your career and your environments
- In-depth coverage on what tools are available to help you mange multiple hypervisors including GUI and scripting solutions
- Real world tips and tricks to get you ahead!
